Rise Reformer Fundamentals
Ideal for beginners, focusing on alignment and precision at a slower pace, ensuring a solid foundation in Pilates while still achieving a full body workout.

Rise Reformer Flow
For those with some experience (5+ fundamental classes), this class offers a faster pace with more challenging movements and heavier resistance for a more intense full-body workout.

Tailored for beginners, this slower-paced class emphasises key principles and provides a full-body workout while building a secure foundation.

Rise Mat Flow
Designed for those who have some experience (5+ fundamental classes), 1:1 or previous Pilates classes. This class introduces more dynamic and challenging exercises and modifications to enhance strength, flexibility, and coordination.

Rise Reformer Mum & Baby
Specifically for postnatal mothers, this gentle class focuses on core strength and pelvic floor stability while allowing mothers to bring their babies along for the fun!

Private Sessions
A Rise Reformer 1:1 (one person) or 2:1 (2 people) offers a private session that is tailored to your body, your goals, and your needs. Perfect if you’re regaining strength after injury, rediscovering your body postnatally or purely want a more focused introduction to Pilates. Private sessions create the space to slow down and learn in a way that feels empowering. Book via the appointment section on the Momence app or on the website. They are also included in our Studio Intro Package.

Amy is an experienced instructor who instils confidence in a calm and supportive manor, so you get the best results from class. With a first-class degree in Dance Studies, Amy has spent many years performing and traveling internationally before settling down in Cornwall with her partner and two children. She began her Pilates journey in 2009 as part of her training at university and became a certified instructor in 2016, earning her Level 3 Pilates diploma.
Amy has continued her education through Balanced Body, a renowned Pilates foundation. Additionally, she holds a 200-hour yoga certification from Yoga Alliance. After teaching in various settings, Amy envisioned creating her own space, and thus, Rise Reformer Studio was born. Passionate about cultivating an environment that nurtures the mind and body, Amy has designed Rise to be a sanctuary for wellness. Whether you're seeking a challenging workout or a serene escape, Rise has you covered.

Mat Pilates emphasises core strength and flexibility through bodyweight exercises and additional props for resistance. Reformer Pilates utilises a piece of equipment called the reformer. This machine allows you to use adjustable resistance in exercises via the springs on the reformer, along with a sliding carriage that aids in movement. The reformer's structure supports the body in proper alignment, facilitating more accurate execution of movements. Lastly and dependent on the style of yoga, this movement practice focuses on flexibility, strength, and mindfulness. Aiming to calm and rebalance the body and mind, improving overall wellness. they all offer great positive benefits, it's just finding the style that suits you and your body. We use professional-grade reformers and equipment. Including mats, weights and props of the highest standard.

Absolutely! Beginners should enrol in the Rise Fundamentals classes; we offer mat and reformer or schedule a one-on-one session for personalised support. Once you feel ready, you can transition to the Rise Reformer or Mat Flow class.

Just bring water and grippy socks! Socks are available to purchase at the studio if you don't own any. Please wear comfortable clothing that allows for easy movement.

Yes, there are six parking spaces available at the front of the studio on a first-come, first-served basis.

You may continue exercising if your midwife or doctor approves it. However, it’s not recommended to start Pilates for the first time during pregnancy. If you’re attending postnatal Pilates, it’s advisable to wait until after your eight-week check-up to ensure it’s safe and provide a detailed medical questionnaire to help modify exercises as necessary.

Not at all! Men are welcome to participate in Reformer Pilates as well.

Absolutely! You don’t need to be flexible to start Pilates. In fact, Pilates will help you improve your flexibility and strength.
